Here's what the judges said about Jr. Iron Chef VT:

“I had a chance to observe this initiative in action and it was astonishing! I loved how it includes children from various communities and from all types of schools. Children come together to cook local seasonal ingredients, and I think it makes a huge impression on them. It’s very smart to take something out of popular culture and use it for a strong political and pedagogical expression. This initiative can happen anywhere and seems remarkably easy to market as well.”

“I thought it was a really strong idea in terms of innovation and sustainable impact. This is very scalable too and it manages to cover a large range of important topics, from hunger and nutrition to careers.”
